Summer Assignment: Finished Results

This oil painting is of a malfunctioning, night vision camera. I made everything look blurry for the theme of the artwork.

I redid the entire owl and made it smaller, down to about the size of a regular barn owl.

Using a slightly different process than the previous owl, I "sculpted" the face and legs using newspaper and no tape was added.

The barn owl's feathers are made from mixtures of thin and thick paper. I used plastic nail tacks for the eyes and colored them before adding a glossy coat. Rolled up pieces of cardboard was used for the beak and the feet.
